We are working with a successful and ambitious security integrator who are seeking an experienced Head of Operations to oversee their projects and business operations.

As the Head of Operations, you will be leading, supervising, and driving operational excellence and execution within field operations and project installation. This is a crucial role within the organization and will allow you to utilise and test your management, commercial and technical skills to the full.

Responsibilities

* Manage the planning and implementation of multiple projects on a day-to-day basis to ensure the business delivers against targets and achieves acceptable profit margins
* Oversee the Maintenance and Services Department to ensure work is neither overlooked nor duplicated and to ensure the overall direction and integrity of the M&S Department
* Plan and prepare project opportunities in conjunction with the sales department and agree plans to ensure project(s) deliveries are realistic and progress can be satisfactorily monitored
* Provide technical oversight and expertise as required on projects throughout the business
* Attend Client meetings acting as the Operations Lead for the business
* Manage and motivate the companies’ operational departments to achieve its objectives
* Manage and motivate a series of project teams including sub-contractors to achieve project objectives
* Set clear objectives for individual project and service team members. Appraising the Managing Director of individuals’ progress against these objectives through continuous assessment
* Liaise closely with the administration & finance departments to ensure all communications (electronic and otherwise), client information, project information and service files etc. are secure, tracked, updated and current at all times
* Implement measurable monitoring and review processes that ensure excellent levels of customer satisfaction and customer service are maintained throughout the business
* Provide the necessary input and support to assist the Business Development process for existing and new customers

Required

* Strong prior experience of Operational leadership for a security integrator, is essential (e.g. Operations Manager, Operations Director, General Manager, etc.)
* Demonstratable leadership skills and experience working with large project teams and strategic account teams. A proven history of delivering large scale security projects
* Awareness of commercial business terms and conditions commonly adopted within the security industry (including project and company P&L)
* Good knowledge and understanding of the legal issues with contracts and processes – including NSI processes and ISO9001
* You must be able to pass SC security clearance, ideally DV cleared
