A leading security systems integrator is looking for an enthusiastic and technically skilled in-house IT Support Engineer to join their expanding team. Having trained and promoted the individual recruited successfully for this role 12 months ago, the company are looking for another progressive and ambitious individual to join the team.Working within the Tech’ Team, the IT Support Engineer will maintain and support the company’s network/infrastructure. You will be responsible for the set up and programming of software and systems for the demonstration of security products and how they can interact in a range of settings. You will also be involved in the physical set up of the demo suite ready for customer visits and training. For the right individual, this is a really exciting role with clear routes for progression into the Pre-Sales Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and programming of software and hardware ready for product demonstrations.
  • Maintenance of the IT systems (including networks, virtual environments, servers, CCTV cameras, access control systems, video walls, etc.)
  • Troubleshooting / problem solving issues as they arise.
  • Support Pre-Sales when required with design activities

Skills Required:

  • Ideally degree qualified within an appropriate engineering domain (e.g. Electronics, Computer Science, Software Engineering or IT)
  • Good general IT technical skills (preferable network related skills but not essential)
  • An understanding of networking principles and set-up and maintenance of networks, including routers and switches, would be beneficial, but not essential as training will be provided.
  • Some exposure to virtual environments, ideally VM Ware (Citrix, Hyper-V) would be beneficial.
